Working with Mallory Woods at Opulent Design and Events was one of the best decisions we made as a couple (other than choosing each other, of course).  She was absolutely critical to making the wedding as stress-free, elegant and exciting as possible while keeping us within budget.

 

From the beginning we had a few ideas about the vision for our big day but were overwhelmed with ideas and tips from all of the websites, books, magazines and social media boards.  To make things more complicated, we started planning our wedding and then found ourselves with a bigger obstacle- we had to plan a cross-country move and leave Colorado behind, meaning: a lot of our planning and negotiation had to be done from 2000 miles away.  

 

Enter Mallory- a complete lifesaver.  She quickly took our seemingly competing visions of an elegant evening cocktail party inspired by the midnight sky and a cozy, English country house reception and brought them together in a way that made perfect sense.   The ideas she brought to the table without missing a single detail nailed exactly what we wanted, and we were beyond excited to see it come together.

 

Mallory and her team were incredibly efficient and thought of every little detail on the wedding day, but what we loved the most about her was how she forced us to save money and not fall in to the bride-and-groom trap of “fine, we’ll just write the check and get it over with.”  She evaluated vendor contracts, negotiated fees and prices, helped with the selection process and made sure we knew exactly what we were getting in to.   She refused to let us over-pay for anything and stepped in to hand-make our incredible invitations, set up the lighting on her own, and made numerous trips to the stores to get the exact candlesticks that the bride was obsessing over for months, at a discount.  Mallory was, without fail, the reason we stayed sane.    

 

Opulent Design and Events was full-service; they made our table numbers, programs, guest book, altar, and pretty much everything else we could’ve thought of.  The customer service was unparalleled, even when we called her the day before she was leaving the county to have her make and mail more invitations because we underestimated the final count.  Mallory made us feel that nothing was impossible and that she can make anything work. 

 

The best thing about working with Mallory and her team is that Opulent Design & Events is not just about the design and execution, it is about program management.  Our bridal party and vendors had the itinerary, knew exactly what went where, and partnered so well with that not a single thing was missed or went awry. We were prepared to have something go wrong, but it was all flawless.

 

Iam sure that all brides and grooms feel that their wedding was the best, and our guests were kind enough to tell us that it was the best wedding they’ve been to.  We can honestly say that we agree, and it is entirely to the credit of Mallory and team.  We’d get married all over again if we could hire her!  Thank you, Mallory, for giving us a wedding beyond what we dreamed possible.

My advice to the newly engaged:  If you want to relax and enjoy your wedding, I’d tell you to go ahead and have Opulent Events handle everything. Every detail was attended to and the day was truly perfect!

 

About our wedding: We decided very early on in the planning process to hire Opulent Events to help with the logistics and details. I knew that I didn’t want anyone in my family, wedding party or even myself to have to worry excessively leading up to and on the wedding day itself. I’ve heard so many stories of brides that don’t even get to see their maid of honor the whole day because they were busy paying vendors, setting tables, etc. and I just didn’t want that for my wedding.  I wanted to relax and enjoy the day. The only way I saw that happening was to have Opulent Events take the reigns. And I was right!!!

 

From the first contact, Mallory and her team were extremely professional and detailed. I never worried if something was under control or taken care of because Mallory was always 2 steps ahead of me. On the wedding day, I literally felt zero stress because I knew my wedding was in good hands. From the crying ringbearers to the crazy family members (believe me, we all have them), there was nothing that was not managed perfectly by Opulent Events.  To not have to worry about where the throwing bouquet was and if the vendors had all been paid was honestly a weight off of my shoulders. I’d recommend Opulent Events to any bride looking for a stress-free experience and perfect wedding day!!!! Hire them NOW!!!

Everyone tells you, "Something is bound to go wrong on your wedding day. Everything can't be perfect." Well, my wedding day was perfect and I didn't have a worry in the world.  Mallory made sure every single detail, leading up to my wedding as well as on the big day, was absolutely, 100% what I dreamed of and wanted.  From securing and confirming my vendors to glueing tiny rhinestones on my 200+ guests' place cards and tying 250 bows on my invitations, she did it all.  Mallory, in plain words, is a lifesaver when it comes to planning and executing an amazing wedding.  I wouldn't recommend anyone else!
